Detectives bust DVD counterfeiting business in LA
LOS ANGELES — Detectives have arrested four men and seized thousands of DVDs after a raid on an illegal DVD manufacturing operation in Los Angeles.
Police said officers raided an unmarked storefront in the downtown Fashion District Friday afternoon, taking DVD burning equipment, over 5,000 DVDs and more than $2,000 in cash.
Four men face felony counterfeiting charges.
The Motion Picture Association of America collaborated with police in the raid. The association will destroy the DVDs when the case is over.
